What is a Reportage Portrait?
Similarily to Reportage Photography, it is a portrait that captures the most powerful images to convey the atmosphere of the event, therefore perserving the moment forever. Reportage shows the emotion felt by the subjects, and the images make you feel like you are there. Typically captures an intimate moment or zoomed in ziew.
My Process:
- We'll talk about photo references and any additions/omittances you'd like to them until we're both on the same page - either by Email or IG DM
- You'll decide on the size and desired canvas style (I can do watercolor paper, wood panel or traditional canvas)
- I'll paint your piece with Gouache and seal it with wax to preserve and protect it from water damage
- I'll package your portrait and send it off to its forever home!
- You and your loved one get to enjoy your hand-painted memory!

What's the difference?
The main difference is that Gallery wrapped canvases are wrapped on wider stretcher bars and they are wrapped all the way around and secured on the back.
People tend to like the look of Gallery wrapped canvases when hanging canvases without a frame, though studio canvases can be hung without frames as well!
